Cozy Diner Paradise

The people that work there and the people that come to eat are all very Friendly lots of senior & the waitresses are all very nice the men host always helping to see that everyone gets seated because it's a big place the prices are reasonable have a buffet and za Buffet room 7 days a week salad bar. We are there three to five times a week

Down-home breakfast! Filling, delicious and served by polite and attentive staff.

Daytime lunch was very nice, and servers on the job. Night time how ever totally another world. Ordered shrimp double special. Way over done, rubber. Veggies , cook till dry, mashed potatoes so cold butter would not melt. Worse meal if had in a while. Staff meeting is needed desperately. Coffee cup empty through most of meal.

Cozy Diner is a great coffee shop type restaurant. Good for the whole family. Great hamburgers and breakfasts. The rest is good also, just not sure about the meatloaf, I didn't like it but you might. Staff is friendly and efficient. I've never had to wait for a table. Even though the dining area is large the feel is cozy. They also offer a buffet, I haven't tried it as yet, but it looks good. I think you will be happy about your visit.

Love this place. Two for one nights are really good food choices. The employees are always friendly and nice.

I used to love the paradise cozy diner. But adding up how many times their food made me sick and all the times they stuck us in the corner and forgot about us, regardless of my fathers large tips when we would do our monthly meeting, I'm done eating here. Sad too, I used to love this diner.

If you've never had a lumberjack meal- you will experience one here. Huge absolutely huge meals. Excellent handmade homemade pies (massive). The overall ambience is less than fascinating. However, excellent photos memorabilia of the gold rush days on the walls. Is probably a historic site. I would recommend for families, groups or with a friend. Just be aware a small salad is set ed on a huge dinner plate and should serve 4 normal adults. Terrific for brunch breakfast and dinner if you are truly famished! Recommend highly.

Always good portions here and it's good. Breakfast bar with unlimited bacon, enough said.

Love this place and will visit again when I am up that way. The food was excellent and the service was good.

With some friends we went to Cozy Diner after the Superbowl to eat. The buffet was terrible. The food had been sitting under the heat lamps which looked like all day without changing out with fresh food. I decided to order a meal instead of the buffet. I asked for fresh vegetables along with my meal. The vegetables were the California blend. They were not fresh! They were soggy and cold. It looked like they took the vegetables from the buffet. The carrots were all dried and shriveled up, broccoli and cauliflower were soggy and mushy. I will not be back. That was my first time and last!

Food was good and we'll prepared. Service seemed slower than usual. Waitress was busy and it would be good if she had checked back on refills more often. Restaurant is easily accessible for my mobility scooter and for husband with cane.

There's understandably some confusion in the recent reviews. The diner made it through the fire and is still there. I'm not sure if phone service has been restored for them, but Cozy Diner still exists. Unfortunately The Lantern on the adjacent property did burn down.

Great breakfast choice. Excellent service and really good food. Nothing fancy.but darn good.

Friendly, food isn't served with much punctuality. Waitress or mgr. Seldom come by to refill beverage. The restaurant atmosphere is charming. Old cars, all American big booths. Big portions.

Just finished our first experience at the Cozy Inn. The host and staff were excellent and very friendly. We had the breakfast Buffet. The food was excellent we enjoyed our entire visit. We are from Iowa and we know what a good breakfast is.

The best home style restart in Paradise. I have eaten there every Sunday evening for a decade, or more. Excellent service, friendly, family atmosphere.

A Paradise must-have for dinner once in a while. Wait staff knows their customers and treats them like family.

Don't eat here. Paradise local - This food is disgusting. I ordered a "Rib Eye" thing isn't even a quarter of an inch thick and came out under cooked. This picture is AFTER we sent it back to be cooked longer.

Absolutely love cozy! Love the people who work there, they are very dedicated warm caring people. The place is clean the food is fresh always prepared good. Always leave with a sense of contentment!

Burned down in the Paradise Camp Fire, I believeI used to enjoy having breakfast with my brother there and came out of Cozy Dinner that morning as embers we're starting to fall. My brother and his family all evacuated to Chico, as did my wife and I. Writing this review reminded me that there is a Cozy Diner in Chico. So I am going to start taking my brother there for breakfast. Maybe I can find out how my favorite servers and cooks are doing.

Awesome buffet on weekends! Its all homemade, none of that powder eggs stuff. The bacon could be crisper, but it tastes good. Great value too. I would easily pay 50% more for the same weekend buffet.

Family owned cafe. Pleasant atmosphere, Great service, Great comfort food. served hot and presented nice appearance. BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER. fresh pies. Great Broasted Chicken dinners. Thursdays are 2 for price of one Chicken dinners, and daily specials.

Had a salad which was really good; prices are reasonable and the server was very nice. You just have to like 50s and 60s old school music because that's all they play.

Love the quick service and pleasant staff. U cant get better pie anywhere on the ridge. I suggest the peach cobbler and my girl is crazy for the cherry. Cant go wrong here.

From out of town and we were looking for decent food at 9 pm. Didn't think we'd find any. The food here was fresh and well prepared. Waitress was sweet and took good care of us.

Just awfull, food was horrible! Had the meatloaf, it was dry and looked like tofu not hamburger. Mashed potatos were from a box. The gravy was microwaved from a jar. Everything seemed old and preprocessed. Nothing was cooked fresh. I would pass on this place.

Great and friendly service. Always make room for our big groups of family to be seated. Love the salad bar options. The staff remember you as a customer. They are always busy but look like they enjoy working there. Clean family atmosphere.

This restaurant was like going back to the 50s. Servings are huge, then on top of that they include dessert. They really have home made pies, and cream pies. Leave you diet at home. Fir only $10 you get a 4 - 5 course meal. Begin with a steak, chicken or 3 pieces of fried fish. Then add either a soup, salad, baked potato,or french fries. Then the desserts, you can come here with others if just by yourself. I saw many dinners alone. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The location could be called the heart of Paradise because there is a funky, old hotel, in the redwoods behind this restaurant. They offer a %10 discount to eat here. Cost $88 per night to stay and you can have pets. The brand new Starbucks is across the street.

I was in town for the day and stopped for lunch. It was cool inside on a really hot smoky day. It is a true home town style diner. It seems like a favorite hang out for locals. I kept half expecting my grandpa to come in to chat with the other folks lingering over coffee. I had a lunch special. The onion rings were perfect. The sandwich had just the right amount of cheese and mushrooms. I never had to ask for a refill on my drink. Service was quick and efficient. Wish I had saved room for pie!

Great steak but the rest of the meal was avg. Place was packed as prices are low and selection is huge.
